Conversion of garaging

Located within the attractive countryside to the south-west of Cupar, this project entailed utlising two existing garages to provide additional bedroom accommodation with en-suites.  The proposals included replacing the double pitched roof with a larger hipped roof, introduced a covered canopy as well as the formation of a new gable with reclaimed skew stones.  The existing render was partly removed to expose the natural stone and slates were reused wherever possible.    The alterations were undertaken with the aim of ensuring that they related to the building’s character in terms of scale, materials and design details.
