Garage conversion to dwelling

Lead, natural slate, timber and lime mortar

Situated within the heart of the Outstanding St Andrews Conservation Area adjacent to a number of listed buildings, this project entailed the sensitive alteration and conversion of a redundant stone built garage to form a very modest self contained residential unit.  The conversion provided one bedroom and study on the ground floor and lounge and kitchen/dining on the first floor. 

Upon completion, the development received a commendation from the Dundee Institute of Architects (DIA) in 2012 in the Best Small Project Award category.
