Rural dwelling

Located on a farm on the outskirts of Kirkcaldy as part of a small building group, this 3 bedroom house affords beautiful views over the rolling countryside, the Firth of Forth and the Lothians beyond.  

The private client commissioned MFA to design a modern retirement home with a contemporary layout that maximised the use of natural light.  The brief was to provide the necessary living and master bedroom accommodation on the ground floor with two guest bedrooms contained within the roof space that took advantage of the site’s panoramic views.  

The client did not want to compromise on quality therefore a high standard of external finishes were utilised including natural stone, natural slate and timber larch cladding.
