Alterations & re-cladding of office/manufacturing building

Acting on behalf of Bosch Rexroth Ltd, MFA was instructed to provide a full architectural service including obtaining the necessary statutory approvals for re-cladding the manufacturing building as well as a number of minor alterations to the exterior consisting of the installation of replacement windows, downpipes, vents, doors and a new glazed canopy.  

The existing building façade was tired and somewhat dated and the proposed works presented an opportunity to introduce a high quality design which made a positive contribution to the local environment.  The key elevations of the building were fully clad in the same aluminium panels and glazing to ensure uniformity in the building design in complementary shades of silver.  The proposed improvements also included sustainable features such as solar control glazing.
