Pre-Application Consultation (PAC)

Effective consultation provides an opportunity for communities to become better informed about development proposals at an early stage and to contribute their views as plans evolve.  By encouraging open dialogue and constructive engagement, PAC can help identify local issues, address concerns, clarify misunderstandings and ensure that community feedback is properly considered during the design and development process.

When undertaken effectively, PAC can lead to better informed and more responsive development proposals, reducing potential areas of conflict and helping to create developments that are better integrated with their surroundings.  It can also assist planning authorities in the efficient determination of planning applications by ensuring that key issues have been identified and addressed at an early stage.
