Hot food takeaway

St Andrews Holiday Park is a successful and long established tourist business which has in the last couple of years seen significant investment in its park facilities and amenities including an extensive refurbishment of their amenity building in 2017 as well as the commencement of works for a further 43 fully serviced static holiday home pitches.  Abbeyford Leisure Ltd were therefore eager to expand upon the existing on-site facilities for holiday guests staying at the park by providing a hot food takeaway facility.

MFA were commissioned to provide a full planning and architectural service for the erection of a modestly sized single storey flat roof extension on the southern side of their existing amenity building.  Liaising with both the client and Papa John’s, the building was designed to meet the operational requirements of Papa John’s whilst ensuring that the internal vehicular access was not compromised.  The takeaway facility was designed to complement the recently refurbished amenity building by providing an attractive and welcoming facade which incorporated full height glazing with natural stone walls to match the entrance canopy area.  The takeaway facility opened in April 2019.
