MFA was appointed by three local farms who had identified wind farming as a diversification opportunity that would primarily provide electricity for the respective farms, but would also provide an income in terms of the sale of excess electricity generated to the national grid.
The design, height, size and generating capacity of the turbines were carefully selected to ensure they accommodated the requirements of the farms whilst minimising the landscape and visual impacts on the surrounding countryside.
MFA successfully project managed this development through the planning process. In addition, we subsequently secured consent at appeal for an additional turbine on the landholding associated with Bonerbo Farm. In this instance, we administered the appeal from start to finish, assembled the appropriate consultant team and prepared the expert evidence.
