Garden room linked extension

MFA was appointed by a private client to design a bespoke single storey garden/hobby room linked to the cottage via a partially glazed corridor.  The client’s brief required the space to have the functionality of also being able to be used as a bedroom with en-suite facilities and for the room to be connected to the garden.  A simple and cost effective palette of external materials was utilised including natural larch cladding with intermediate glazed panels, smooth render as well as profile sheeting for the roof with a single ply membrane to the link corridor.
