Swimming pool & orangery

MFA was engaged by a private client to design a luxurious indoor swimming pool and associated orangery for a home in Perthshire.  The client brief called for maximum use of glazing to offer natural light to flood into the swimming pool and allow for uninterrupted views over the local countryside towards the River Tay.  

The bright blue mosaic tiles offer a stunning effect when finished against the pale sandstone floor and wall tiles.  High specification fixtures and fittings were employed including structural triple glazing and a dual aspect tunnel wood-burning stove.  The heating system for the house was also upgraded to include a ground source heat pump to reduce its carbon emissions.
