Private Dwelling - St Andrews

Located within the heart of the Outstanding St Andrews Conservation Area, and surrounded by a number of listed buildings, this project required the careful conversion of a redundant stone built garage into a compact, self contained dwelling.

The design retained the character of the original structure while providing a practical living arrangement, with a bedroom and study on the ground floor and a lounge with kitchen/dining facilities on the upper level.

The quality and sensitivity of the completed development were recognised by the Dundee Institute of Architects (DIA), which awarded the project a commendation in the Best Small Project category in 2012.
