MFA was appointed to obtain planning permission for the erection of a dwellinghouse on agricultural land to support an existing farm business. Our clients were primarily tenant farmers although they owned a number of acres which they also farmed. MFA successfully argued that in terms of agricultural need and good succession planning, there was a requirement for an agricultural workers dwellinghouse to be located on their own landholding.
The client was keen to have a low carbon energy solution due to the site’s rural location therefore a ground source heat pump as well as PV solar panels were incorporated into the development. The house was finished in an acrylic render with natural slate and powder coated aluminium clad timber windows.
