Protecting and enhancing these places is essential to ensuring that future generations can continue to appreciate and enjoy our rich architectural and cultural heritage.  With more than 6,000 listed buildings and 48 Conservation Areas across Fife, including Scotland’s first designated Conservation Area at Falkland, MFA has developed extensive expertise in the sensitive adaptation, restoration and enhancement of historic buildings and places.  We understand the unique challenges associated with working in heritage settings, where careful design, technical understanding and close collaboration with local authorities and conservation specialists are often required.
